Mill Village Farms
Mill Village Farms began in 2012 with a mission to grow food and grow jobs in under-resourced communities of Greenville. The organization’s vision is to transform communities by developing successful youth entrepreneurs through sustainable agriculture and educational empowerment.
Through strategic partnerships with local churches, non-profits and businesses, Mill Village Farms has been able to quickly expand with a network of over 110 farmable acres, including urban, rural, and a rooftop farms in Greenville. Mill Village Farms has built success by employing and developing over 25 youth that have learned basic job skills, sustainable agriculture, and entrepreneurship. Mill Village offers their farm-fresh produce through their Good to Go Mobile Farmers Market to both "food-desert" communities that do not have easy access to healthy foods as well as to local businesses in Greenville.
